Take a tour of the state’s largest single highway project ever administered by ADOT. The Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway contains 22 miles of new freeway, 40 bridges including two half-mile-long spans over the Salt River, five flyover ramps at the I-10/L202 interchange and Arizona’s first two diverging diamond interchanges. The freeway will provide a long-planned direct link between the East Valley and West Valley and provide much needed relief to existing freeway corridors and local streets. The project is a Public Private Partnership (P3) being developed by Connect 202 Partners, who will be responsible for freeway maintenance for 30 years after the project is completed. It is estimated 117,000 to 190,000 cars a day will travel on the South Mountain Freeway once fully operational.   Don’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to tour the project before it opens to traffic as early as late 2019.
